Tasks

The Tasks section of the CMMS is designed to streamline and organise maintenance work within your organisation. Tasks serve as the core unit of work in the system, allowing maintenance teams to create, assign, and schedule jobs with ease. Each task is based on a reusable template, which defines the necessary steps, resources, and safety protocols required for completion. By standardising task templates, the system ensures consistency across similar jobs, saving time and reducing the likelihood of errors.

Tasks can be configured to support both Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance:

  • PPM: Tasks that are scheduled at regular intervals to prevent equipment failure and prolong asset life. PPM tasks can be automatically assigned to maintenance operatives based on predefined schedules, ensuring that routine maintenance is never missed.

  • Reactive Maintenance: For unexpected issues or breakdowns, reactive maintenance tasks can be created, assigned, and tracked in real time, allowing for swift response and resolution.

With flexible scheduling options, task templates can be set for recurring work or ad-hoc jobs as needed. Once a task is assigned to an operative, they can access detailed instructions, checklists, and required resources directly from the system, ensuring each job is completed accurately and efficiently.
